Prayers and Squares

The Prayer Quilt Ministry.

The Prayers and Squares ministry aims to promote an active prayer life among the participants, not just to make and give away quilts. We strive to involve as many people as possible in our prayer efforts. Together with the United Methodist Church, meetings will occur on the first Saturday and the third Monday of the month. 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. Something always needs to be cut, ironed, tied, labeled, sewn and organized. Please join us for this fun, creative, worthwhile mission. If you don’t know how, we’ll show you! Come and let’s get creative!

June meetings:

June meetings: Saturday, June 06 and Monday, June 15, - 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. Prayers and Squares prayer quilt ministry group meetings consist of group members working on their various projects, assisting each other as needed, and Sew & Tell showing work on their projects.

Prayers and Squares met May 18th at Westminster. This year, so far, we've made 12 prayer quilts and gifted 9 quilts. At the beginning of the month, those participating have learned 3 new Blocks of the Quarter quilt blocks with Pati Robertson teaching. Shirley gave the devotional and prayer. Two new members joined us and are learning to sew. We welcome anyone to join us for our meetings. You can watch and visit, learn to sew and or quilt, help cut fabric or iron fabric, just be an extra pair of hands. What you don't know, we'll teach you!
