AppleFest Community Breakfast

AppleFest – Oct. 7, 2017
Westminster’s own Jim and Mary Daniels were honored as AppleFest Parade Grand Marshall.

Westminster members provide breakfast for about 200 attendees – which usually includes many out-of-town vendors that otherwise wouldn’t have breakfast. Donations are given to the Versailles Food Pantry.

Food Pantry

Funds donated in appreciation of the breakfast served during AppleFest (around $800 in 2016) have been given to the Versailles Food Pantry.

Malawi “Sister” Program

Malawi Food Project – Early November
The East African nation of Malawi is our congregation’s special mission. Malawi is one of the world’s poorest nations. Its population is 14 million and the Presbyterian Church is the primary Christian presence. The Malawi Church educates about 1/3 of all the children and is significantly involved in the fight against hunger. In 2016 Westminster assisted in the purchase of two trucks to deliver food supplies to the “back country” and contributed $5,000 to purchase desperately needed relief food. The Malawi mission continues to challenge us in stewardship and prayer.
